St. John's School families can participate in Before and After School Care (BASC) between the hours of 6:45am to the start of the school day, and from school dismissal until 5:30pm. St. John's BASC offers flexibility to family schedules and provides a cost-effective, loving, secure and secure environment for our students.
BASC Rates: $3.50 per hour, per student. Students in K5-8th grade can be dropped off from 6:45am-7:25am for Before School Care. All students picked up after 3:20pm will be placed in After School Care and invoiced accordingly.
Any student not picked up by 4:30pm will accrue a charge of $1.00 per minute per family.
Students who exhibit an uncooperative or disruptive behavior at BASC may be denied BASC services.
BASC activities:
1. Homework time for older children.
2. Recreational activities include board games, puzzles, outside playground or gymnasium, all planned and supervised.
3. Snack is provided between 4:00-4:15pm.
Before School: K5-8th Grade: 6:45am – 7:50am at the cafeteria entrance.
After School: K4-8th Grade: 3:05pm – 4:30pm
NOTE: Students dropped off before school hours and/or picked up after 3:20pm will be placed in BASC and invoiced accordingly.
Any student not picked up by closing will accrue a charge of $1.00 per minute per family. After School Care hours often change on early release days.
Invoices are billed in FACTS during the first week of the month. Payment is due by the 10th of that month. Electronic drafting is an option for payment. Failure to pay fees may result in the loss of BASC use. A $5.00 late fee may be added to invoices not paid by date due.
Students are to be signed out by parent/guardian and require photo identification.
For parent/guardian to allow another person(s) to pick up, the parent/guardian must fill out the BASC form and return it to the school office. These forms are maintained at BASC.
