My name is Paula Whitten. I was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, but I have spent most of my life in Huntsville, Alabama. . I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, & 5 and I now serve St. John’s School as the Resource Teacher. I am also a member of St. John’s Parish.
I did most of my undergraduate work at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. My husband and I later moved to Cullman, Alabama where I completed my Bachelor of Elementary Education degree at St. Bernard College. I received my Master’s in Elementary Education from The University of North Alabama, in Florence, Alabama. I also have my AA Certificate in Elementary Education from Alabama A & M College in Normal, Alabama.
My husband and I reside in Madison, Alabama. We have one son, Thomas, who lives in Springhill, Tennessee with his lovely wife, Natalie. They have two beautiful daughters, Kennedy and Audrey.
As the Resource Teacher, I work with students who need extra support in some area of academics. It is such a pleasure to serve St. John’s in this capacity.
My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope.’
