Brenda Villarreal, Assistant Principal

I absolutely love what I do and where God has brought my family and me. I have a BS in Education from the University of Houston and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Marymount University in Virginia. I have been teaching since 1991, and have taught many different grade levels and a variety of subjects over the years.

I firmly believe that learning is not exclusively institutional. Learning is a behavior that continues throughout our lives. My goal as an educator is to foster a love of learning that continues far beyond the classroom. An integral part of developing that love of learning is understanding with complete faith and trust that God has given each and every one of us unique gifts and talents to share with one another.

St. Therese’s Prayer for Peace says it well:

Peace Within
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be confident knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
-St. Thérèse of Lisieux
