Deacon Darrell Diem, Computer Teacher

Deacon Darrell was born in Flint, Michigan. Darrell graduated from St. John Vianney High School. He was in the Air Force for four years as an electronics technician. Darrell has a BS in Physics/Math from Marquette University, an MBA from Michigan State, and an MA in Pastoral Ministries from St. Thomas University, Miami, Florida.

Deacon Darrell has held a number of positions in high tech communications companies. He has published technical articles in software journals. He also holds several software patents. Deacon Darrell has taught Programming, IT Management, and Business Ethics at two different universities. He also taught AP Physics at Saint John Paul High School.

Darrell was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in 1984 in the Diocese of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Darrell and his wife Kathy have 5 children and 16 grandchildren. They have been members of St. John's since 1996. He teaches Computer classes for K4 through 8th grade. Deacon Darrell enjoys teaching at St. John's, especially since he has baptized a number of his 'students'.
