I grew up in a military family, moving around and settling in Huntsville when I was in middle school. I have attended both Catholic and public schools. My husband and I are happy to live in Huntsville with our son and cat near our families. I have been a member of Holy Spirit Parish since childhood. I have a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in English and Secondary Education from UAH.
I love spending my time with my family and friends, running, baking, shopping, and reading. I love trying new restaurants, cats, and organization.
I wanted to be a teacher when I was a kindergartener, and I have never changed my mind since. I started my teaching career at St. John’s in 2006. Although I have taught all different grade levels (middle and high school), I am so happy to be at St. John’s. I teach 8 th grade religion, 8 th grade literature and grammar, and 7 th grade literature and grammar. I love teaching middle schoolers because they are learning how to become higher-level thinkers and learners as well as figuring out who they are as people.
